The Taneytown Chamber is made up of members from Taneytown and surrounding areas. We meet the third Monday of each month at the Hesson Snyder Post 120 located at
9 Broad Street, Taneytown, MD 21787.

| | Fruit Sale Workers Needed! - December 6th & 7th the sale is Saturday 8 am to 5 pm and Sunday 12 pm to 5 pm. Last year we needed some people for set up and take down and set up schedule in 2 hr or 4 hr shifts. You may work multiple shifts or arrange a special schedule you can manage. | | Taneytown Chamber Fruit Sale - The Taneytown Chamber of Commerce is continuing the former Taneytown Kiwanis Club tradition of providing the Holiday Traditional Fruit Sale. As always the Fruit sold is fresh Florida Fruit sold by the box (4/5 Bushel carton). Fruit will be available for pick up at the Taneytown Shopping Center parking lot on December 6th and 7th. (Saturday from 8 am until 5 pm and Sunday from 12 pm until 5 pm). To place your order which is due November 21, 2008: You may pick up order forms at the Liquor Barn, Ice Cream Shack, or Chamber office or on line at www.taneytownchamber.org Payment is due on pick up day. You may pay for your order in advance. Payments by check or money order should be made out to the Taneytown Chamber of Commerce. | | General Membership Meeting will be Banquet November 20, 2008 - Our next General meeting will be our Banquet. November 20, 2008 at Fireman's Auxiliary Building. You must be a member or guest of a member to attend. Call Chamber Office for more details; 410 756-4234. Reservations due October 31, 2008.
| | Electric Coop-(Energy Pool) - Applications to renew your membership or join our Coop are now in Documents. Since many of our members electric contracts will be expiring next Spring/Summer, we are getting a jump on things. Those who wish to renew their membership in the Co-Op may sign up for $150.00 per each renewed location. Any new members or new locations will pay $250.00. For those who need more information call the chamber office. On October 20, 2008 at our General Meeting speaker from CQI– Richard Anderson explained the process & answered questions. A copy of his slides and some highlights will be in Documents. CUT OFF DATE TO JOIN THE CO-OP IS NOVEMBER 14, 2008;NOON
| | Chamber Meetings - The Taneytown Chamber of Commerce meets on the third Monday of every month unless it is a holiday, then the meeting is fourth Monday. No meetings in July, August, December. In November our Banquet is the third Thursday which replaces our monthly meeting.
| | Renewals & Directory Changes are Underway - Chamber Membership renewals begin August 1, 2008 and end Oct 31, 2008. During this time frame we will also be solicting any changes you may have regarding your listing in the Directory and our website. You may also purchase or renew your advertizing for the Directory. One business listing per paid membership type on website and the same one will be in the Directory.
